Anugerah Grammy sudah pun membuat pengumuman bagi kesemua calonnya untuk tahun 2020. Namun pencalonan ini membuatkan ramai kecewa kerana kumpulan K-pop, BTS langsung tidak tercalon dalam mana-mana kategori.

Walaupun album kumpulan BTS, Map of the Soul: Pesona merupakan antara album terlaris di Amerika Syarikat, malah seluruh dunia bagi tahun 2019, kumpulan ini langsung tidak tercalon dalam senarai Grammy. Ini membuatkan Army (panggilan untuk peminat kumpulan BTS) menjadi tidak senang dan kecewa.

Tambah lagi, Halsey, yang juga bekerjasama dengan BTS menerusi lagu Boy With Luv, membuat pengakuan bahawa kumpulan BTS layak untuk pencalonan ini, namun beliau tidak terkejut dengan berita ini kerana industri muzik di Amerika Syarikat sudah jauh ketinggalan.
